Research Focus

Enrica's focus is on the geothermal flux and how it  is a poorly constrained boundary condition that can greatly impact ice sheet stability. To characterize the distribution of subglacial geothermal flux and its role in ice sheet evolution and stability, Enrica uses a combination of geophysical methods including airborne radar and potential fields data. In particular, she has been using airborne data to investigate ice layer deformation, constrain bedrock’s lithology, and map subglacial water. Her interests are glaciology, subglacial volcanism
