Overview

I am a Ph.D. Student working with Dr. Anna Ho on fast optical transients.  These include objects like Luminous Fast Blue Optical Transients and orphan Gamma-Ray Burst afterglows.

I received bachelor’s degrees in astrophysics and economics from Caltech in 2023.  My undergraduate research has focused on studying the interactions between stars and planets.  I worked with Caltech Professor Jim Fuller on using MESA stellar models to simulate the effect of planetary engulfment on a star’s lithium abundance.  I also worked with JPL Principal Researcher Dr. Raghvendra Sahai on a pipeline that tested for evidence of star-planet interactions in GALEX ultraviolet observations.

In my free time, I like to play various board games or read fantasy/mystery books.
